“30% Gym and 70% Diet… Abs are made in the kitchen, not in the gym.”
I love this quote because it is true! I don’t think many people understand the power of food. It is THE MOST important element to health and achieving the body you desire.
This quote says diet is 70% of the battle. Does that shock you? I can’t tell you how often I hear people talk about how they are putting hours and hours into working out and not getting the results they want. I will see those same people drinking a beer and eating french fries with dinner. If you want a lean healthy body, it starts in the kitchen. It doesn’t make any sense to spend hours at the gym, only to come home and not think twice about what is going in your mouth. Food is fuel.
The truth is, no matter how much exercise you do or how much time you spend on machines, you’ll never achieve that chiseled look without the proper diet to go along with your workouts.
This week, month, or however long… I really want to spend some time focusing on nutrition. What goes in your mouth, changes your life so drastically that I think this is a topic worth spending some time on. For today, I want you to think a little bit about your current diet. What does it consist of? Do you pay much attention to what is going in your mouth? What are the things you know you need to change or habits that need to be broken?
