I’ve found myself struggling to get my daily dose of vegetables lately. I realize life is hectic for many of us and that is why I wanted to share something that works for me to maintain healthy snacks during our busy lives. I used to portion out all my foods at the beginning of the week and store them on the fridge. I would do fruits on one shelf, veggies on another, and then proteins. It was so simple because all I had to do was grab a bag or container from whichever shelf I needed. When doing this ahead of time, it really minimizes the chance of grabbing something unhealthy due to lack of time.
I have been doing the veggie bags a lot lately because Steve takes one everyday to work and when I am running out the door I just put one in my purse for whenever I get hungry. It only takes me about 10 minutes to wash cut and portion about 6 bags of veggies and then they are set for the week. You can do this with fruit, eggs, nuts, cooked chicken, really anything. I hope you take a minute and make some healthy snack bags for yourself.
